BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, July 24, 2008 - FirstCaribbean International has copped the award for Best Bank in Barbados in the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2008. 

This year's award, given by Euromoney Magazine, follows similar achievements last year in the Bank's operations in the Bahamas and Jamaica.

Managing Director Oliver Jordan expressed pride in the bank's accomplishments and has dedicated the award solely to the efforts and commitment of all staff. 

"That we continue to be acknowledged, particularly in these times of economic challenge, is a clear vote of confidence in our operations," he said
.
Euromoney said that it combines quantitative data with informed and important subjective judgements to honour those institutions which bring the highest levels of service, innovation and expertise to their customers.
