SCARBOUROUGH, Tobago, October 22, 2008 - Even as they continued their probe into the recent double murder of a Swedish couple, police in Tobago were forced to investigate another attack, this time on British tourists, in the usually tranquil island.

In the latest incident two days ago, two British couples staying at the Black Rock Dreams guesthouse on the north-west coast of Trinidad's sister isle were robbed and the females sexually assaulted.

According to police reports, the masked man entered the room brandishing a knife and forced the couples to give him their money, cell phones and jewellery before assaulting the two women.

The British Foreign Office has urged travellers to be cautious and to stay in hotels with tight security measures, including a 24-hour guard.

The assault comes as the search continues for the killer of two Swedes - Anna Sundsvall, 62 and Ake Alsoon, 73 - whose chopped bodies were found on October 9 in their villa in the south-west area of Bon Accord.

No one has yet been charged with the murders although two men were held in connection with the deaths. They were later released.
