West Indies opening batsman Chris Gayle jumped five spots to number 11 in the recently released ODI batsmen LG ICC Player Rankings.

The 27-year-old stand-in captain of the West Indies' one-day side now stands in 11th position in the rankings, level with South Africa's Jacques Kallis.

The upward move comes following an average of 86.67 with the bat in five innings in the just concluded series with Ireland.

Ramnaresh Sarwan is at number 10, the lone West Indian in that position. Shiv Chanderpaul came in at 15th.

In the bowling ranks, West Indies fast bowler Daren Powell moved up to 16th position following his performance during the Windies tour of England. No Windies bowlers cracked the top 10. - Hardbeatnews.com
