British Airways at the top of its game

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, December 20, 2007 - British Airways was awarded 'World's Leading Airline, 2007' at the prestigious World Traveller Awards in Turks and Caicos.

Over 160,000 travel professionals from 190 countries all over the world voted online for the awards, which annually aim to recognise outstanding achievement within the global travel industry.

BA's commercial director Robert Boyle, said the airline was proud of the accomplishment.

"As a British airline, we are honoured to have achieved this global accolade, and will continue to offer the upgraded service that people expect from us," he said.
The airline is now working towards the opening of its new home at Heathrow in March next year.

It says the new terminal will provide an unrivalled customer experience.
