BOSTON, United States, December 3, 2009 – American low-cost carrier JetBlue Airways has announced a round of expansions in its service from Logan International Airport in Boston, its focus city, to the Caribbean, beginning in the next six months.

Effective May 3rd, 2010, JetBlue will give a substantial boost to its Caribbean flight schedule, offering Boston travelers 25 percent more departures including an additional weekly flight to San Juan, Puerto Rico and Montego Bay, Jamaica.

"JetBlue is proud to continue our commitment to Boston by adding even more flights between Logan and the Caribbean next spring," said Scott Laurence, JetBlue's vice president of route planning.

"Whether it's summer or winter, JetBlue offers more nonstop flights between Boston and the Caribbean than any other airline. While the other guys continue to cut back on things like routes, service and snacks, JetBlue is pleased to be offering Bostonians more flights and more choice in travel."

Increased flight frequencies will be available on the new Boston-Caribbean routes year-round. JetBlue also offers winter-only nonstop service to Nassau, Bahamas, and to St Maarten in the Netherlands Antilles.
