Earthquake on north-east of Antigua

ST JOHN’S, Antigua, Friday May 13, 2011 – The UWI Seismic Research Centre has confirmed that a tremor some residents in Antigua felt for a few seconds last night was a 4.0 magnitude earthquake.

It occurred on the north-east coast of the island around 10:11 pm.

The Trinidad and Tobago-based centre said the quake occurred at a depth of 28 km.

No damage has been reported.
