Female entrepreneur impacts women and leadership issues
US Department of State selects Nicole Joseph-Chin to represent Trinidad and Tobago in the United States for the International Visitor Leadership Programme.
PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, Tuesday April 26, 2011 - Many congratulations to female entrepreneur and CEO of Ms. Brafit Limited, Nicole Joseph-Chin. She has been selected by the US Department of State to represent Trinidad and Tobago in the United States for the International Visitor Leadership Programme for her leadership, innovation and entrepreneurship. This programme runs for 3 weeks. The delegation includes 18 participants spanning from across the globe including Germany, Namibia, Turkey and Oman. Previous leadership ambassadors include heads of state, world leaders, entrepreneurs and community/business leaders.
This invitation follows on the heels of Joseph-Chins’ 2009 attendance on the invitation of the Colombia government of PROEXPORT Colombia (highly acclaimed events of PlataformaK and Colombiamoda).
Nicole is well-known in women’s motivation and image management arena where she partners with local and international professionals in the fashion and service industries to enhance women's images, lifestyle and business. Her collaborations regularly include works with local and international fashion designers and many other small businesses.
In addition to being a trailblazing bra/intimate apparel fitter, Joseph-Chin’s expertise is in breast health and care including post mastectomy care, and education. Her Comfort Matters© Seminar Series have benefitted staff of Methanex, EOG Resources, T & TEC, WASA, Guardian Life, UTC, Nestle Trinidad and other corporations in the financial sector.
Mrs. Chin is also the author of the publication Treatment Companion – a Medical Journal which was sponsored by the Guardian Life and Guardian Holdings Groups. She has another book on the drawing board.
Nicole has being featured in local daily, weekly and quarterly publications and in magazines in the Caribbean, Europe and the United States. These include Body and Amoena Life. She has being nominated Fitter of the Month (March 2010) by the world's #1 Post Mastectomy Care provider in Europe.
Nicole Joseph-Chin is US/UK Board Certified. Nicole who has been strongly advocating Breast Cancer Awareness and promotion of Breast Health since 2002 in Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean and the USA Nicole is active as member and volunteer of the Trinidad and Tobago Cancer Society, St. Lucia Cancer Society and American Cancer Society. She is also founder of the Two Cups of Care© Programme.
