4.6 Magnitude Earthquake Occurs off Haiti

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti, Tuesday April 3, 2018 – A 4.6 magnitude earthquake occurred yesterday morning off Haiti, a country that has still not fully recovered from the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that hit in 2010.

However, there were no reports of injuries or damage from the quake.

It occurred around 9:46 a.m., less than 24 hours after a tremor was felt in some communes.

Yesterday’s 4.6 magnitude quake was located about 108.4 km south of Belle Anse and 111.8 km southeast of Marigot, according to the Technical Unit of Seismology (UTS).
