HAMILTON, Bermuda, Friday April 20, 2012 – Guest workers travelling to Bermuda will now be able to clear Customs faster with the launch of the new Fast Pass Card.
The card which will be issued from May 1 will be the size of a credit card and replace the old paper work permits but with the same information.
According to reports, a pilot group of people with periodic limits like business consultants and those who make working visits for a few days or weeks at a time will be the first to be provided with the new cards.
National Security Minister Mr. Wayne Perinchief is reported as saying that the card was machine-readable and stores all necessary information for border control purposes at Bermuda’s points of entry.
He noted that this was an attempt to keep Bermuda on the competitive edge and promote economic growth.
