Former West Indies cricketer on rape charges

Hinds, 31, of Holders Hill, St. James, is accused of raping a 28-year-old woman last month.

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, Wednesday March 28, 2012 – Former West Indies player, Ryan O’Neale Hinds is now on $7, 500 bail with a surety after appearing in court yesterday on rape charges.

Hinds, 31, of Holders Hill, St. James, is accused of raping a 28-year-old woman last month.

He appeared at the District “B” Magistrates Court and was released on bail. As a condition of bail, the former Barbados cricket captain was also ordered  to surrender his travel documents, and will have to report to the Holetown Police Station once a week.
