Cayman Conference to Shed Light on Global and Local Property Markets

GRAND CAYMAN, Cayman Islands, Friday January 18, 2019 – The 4th RICS Cayman Property and Construction Conference will be held in the Cayman Islands on Friday, March 15, 2019 at the Grand Marriot Hotel, under the theme, “Boom or Bust Navigating the Cayman Islands’ Real Estate and Construction Market” with discussions focusing on local, regional and global factors impacting the industry. The conference is expected to attract over 200 professionals comprising surveyors, architects, contractors, bankers, realtors and developers.

The keynote address will be delivered by RICS Past President John Hughes who will focus on factors impacting the global real estate and construction market with particular emphasis on Brexit in the United Kingdom, the mid-term elections and the increase in interest rates in the United States and in Canada, immigration, the interest rate and changing demographics.

A panel discussion will follow the keynote address. Panelist drawn from across the real estate will examine past and present trends and discuss the future of the industry.

There will be breakout sessions after lunch covering valuations, construction, property management and insurance.
