Earthquake Shakes Parts of Eastern Caribbean

KINGSTOWN, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Wednesday February 27, 2019 – A 4.6 magnitude earthquake shook parts of the Eastern Caribbean this morning.

The Trinidad-based Seismic Research Centre of the University of the West Indies reported that the quake struck around 1:13 a.m. at a depth of 22 km.

Its epicentre was located 74 km southeast of Kingstown, St Vincent and the Grenadines; 118 km west southwest of Bridgetown, Barbados; and 137 km south southeast of Castries, St Lucia.

There have been no reports of any major damage or injuries.
