PARIS, France, Wednesday Thursday May 30, 2013 – Ever since her 2011 reality show on Oxygen, “The World According to Paris,” earned the dubious distinction of being the network’s least-watched show of the year, 32-year-old hotel heiress Paris Hilton has been keeping a relatively low profile.
All that is about to change now that the sultry-eyed blond socialite is attempting to revive her career in music. Following in the footsteps of Lil Wayne, Drake, and Trinidad-born star Nicki Minaj, she’s signed with Cash Money Records to create a new album.
At the Cannes Film Festival in France, Hilton told Showbiz411 that she’s currently recording her second album, which will feature label mate Lil Wayne with whom she has previously collaborated.
Hilton is also reportedly working on the project with producer Afrojack, whom she was once rumoured to have dated.
The new album (title as yet unknown) is expected to be out this summer and is said to be a complete departure from her 2006 album “Paris” and later singles “Stars Go Blind” and “Last Night,” also featuring Lil Wayne.
“This is a lot different than my first album,” Hilton told the website. “It’s really going to be house music.”
As if to prove that she’s serious about her musical comeback, Hilton added that she will have a standing DJ gig in Ibiza, Spain, this summer.
Whatever the outcome of her latest musical ventures, Hilton doesn’t have any real worries.
On top of her sizeable family fortune, her fragrance lines continue to flourish.
“I’m getting ready to launch my 17th perfume,” she said. “And I’m also starting the Paris Hilton Foundation for children’s causes.” Click here to receive free news bulletins via email from Caribbean360. (View sample)
