BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Friday March 23, 2012 – Drivers in St. Kitts and Nevis have a new drivers’ licence.

The new license is light blue, in the shape of a credit card and has a holographic overlay at the front.  In addition, a digital picture of the holder and their signature also appears on the license along with its class, and the Licensing Authority signature and a bar code.

This comes after complaints from members of the public and police about the former license which was difficult to read because of its colour scheme and font size.

Changes to the license were approved by the Licensing Authority. However, the previous drivers’ license remains valid and will be gradually phased out. Click here to receive free news bulletins via email from Caribbean360. (View sample)
