Hardbeatnews, PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad, Weds. Sept. 28, 2005: Two Trinidad students studying engineering in the United Kingdom have been charged with the murder and kidnapping of Dr. Eddie Koury, the late nephew of T&T’s minister of health, John Rahael.
The 21 and 24-year-old students, whose names have not been released, are set to appear before an Arima court today, according to Trinidad media reports. They will also face firearms and ammunition charges. Three others suspects will also be charged in the case.
Koury, 38, whose beheaded body was discovered in an Orange field last Friday, was laid to rest yesterday at the Lapeyrouse cemetery following a funeral service at the St Finbar’s RC Church in Diego Martin. His head has not been recovered to date.
The father of two young children was kidnapped following a robbery attempt on Isko Enterprises Ltd in Macoya, where he worked as the managing director. – Hardbeatnews.com
