There’s An Ice Cream Flavour Inspired by Reggae Legend Bob Marley

CALIFORNIA, United States, Thursday May 18, 2017 – You don’t only have to jam to Bob Marley hit “One Love”; you can literally taste it too.

It’s the newest flavour ice cream produced by popular United Sates ice-cream manufacturer Ben & Jerry’s in conjunction with the Marley family in honour of the legendary reggae icon and his vision for a better world.

The One Love ice cream is already a hit in London and is luring a massive following in the United States.

“Bob Marley stood for more than just music – he advocated for social change and inspired millions to think about peace, love, and equality,” Ben & Jerry’s co-founder Jerry Greenfield said in a press release.

“Ben & Jerry’s has long strived to champion love and social justice, and by partnering with the Marley family we’re happy to play a small role in supporting Marley’s vision for a sweeter world.”

One Love, which delights with its harmony of banana ice cream with caramel swirls, graham crackers, and fudge peace signs, will be celebrated on May 22 when Ziggy Marley, musician and eldest son of Bob Marley hosts performances by Aaron Nigel Smith and others at an invitation-only party at the iconic Roxy Theatre on the Sunset Strip in California.

A portion of the proceeds from each One Love pint sold will benefit Jamaica’s One Love Youth Camp, a programme run by The Bob Marley Foundation and Partners for Youth Empowerment.

“The One Love Youth Camp positively affects youth in Jamaica, providing social and interpersonal tools they can use throughout life. The youth are our future and we are thankful for our partnership with Partners for Youth Empowerment and Ben & Jerry’s,” Ziggy said.
