Police discover live grenade in abandoned house

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad, Monday February 27, 2012 – Police are today investigating the discovery of a hand grenade inside an abandoned house at Bye Pass Road, Arima.

The grenade was found by officers of the Northern Division Task Force and the Criminal Investigations Department, inside a plastic bag.

The weapon was examined by the Crime Scene Investigation team from the Special Anti-Crime Unit of the country’s Firearms Laboratory and is now in police possession.
