Antiguan Police Couple Accused of Larceny in the United States

ST JOHN’S, Antigua, Wednesday April 24, 2019 – Two police officers from Antigua and Barbuda – a husband and wife – have found themselves on the wrong side of the law in the United States.

The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda has confirmed that Robert and Monya Dyer were arrested in the US between April 13 and 14 for alleged larceny. They were on vacation at the time.

The Office of the Commissioner of Police said it had only received confirmation of the incident yesterday from Norwalk Police in the US.

Police in the twin-island nation say they are in contact with law enforcement authorities in the US and will continue further investigations into the matter.

No other official information was provided, but local media reports state that the couple was charged with three counts of larceny and one count of conspiracy to commit larceny after they allegedly attempted to shoplift several items at an outlet of warehouse club Costco in Connecticut.
